Who We Are
Meet Nicole
Nicole Walker is the founder of Little Words Studio and the principal instructor of our music and baby signing classes.
She began her music studies at a young age, and has taught music and baby signing in Burnaby for over 10 years.
She founded Little Words Studio in 2023 because of a desire to share her passion for connecting with others. She hopes that everyone who comes into this Studio will feel like it is a “home away from home”, a place to share, connect, and learn together.
Meet Ella
Ella Rogers is Little Words Studio’s storytime specialist! She comes from a background filled with books and stories, as her mother was the children’s librarian in her small hometown.
She has been a nanny and a daycare worker, and is currently looking after a child while continuing her studies in Anthropology and ASL at Douglas College.
Ella is vibrant and energetic, and sure to provide a fun and engaging storytime for your little one enjoying music, reading and signing together.
About our space
Our studio space has been designed to be welcoming and safe for families with young children. We have a wide range of open-ended toys, engaging books and fun musical instruments that little ones are invited to explore.
We have complimentary coffee and tea, a comfortable couch and rocking chair for feeding or nursing, and plenty of cushions to lounge or play on. We have a large bathroom with changing table and extra supplies, as well as a toilet equipped with a built-in toddler seat for those who are potty training.
For your safety, all of our toys and touch surfaces are sanitized regularly, and wipes and hand sanitizer are both readily available.
